Subscribing to a Folder Template
The process of subscribing an entity to a folder template is the same for all entity types. However, the location where you subscribe to the template varies by entity type.
To subscribe an entity to a folder template, do the following:
Go to the folder templates subscription window for the entity type.
Firm
Open Dashboard , click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Settings and defaults under Firm.
Click Document > Folder Template > Assign to Firm on the navigation panel.
Office
Open Dashboard , click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Settings and defaults under Firm.
Click Organizational Units on the navigation panel.
On the Offices tab, select the office to configure options for, and then click Open .
Click Document on the navigation panel.
Business unit
Open Dashboard , click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Settings and defaults under Firm.
Click Organizational Units on the navigation panel.
On the Business Units tab, select the business unit to configure options for, and then click Open .
Click Document on the navigation panel.
New client entities
Open Dashboard , click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Client Manager under Clients .
Select New > Client in the Create group on the Home tab.
Select a client template to use for the new client, and then click Continue .
Enter required profile information for the new client.
Click Document on the navigation panel.
Existing client entities
Open Dashboard , click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Client Manager under Clients .
Double-click the client name in the client list to open the Client Profile window.
Click Document on the navigation panel.
New non-client entities
Open Dashboard , click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Non-client Manager under Clients .
Click New > Non-client in the Create group on the Home tab.
Enter the required profile information for the new non-client entity.
Click Document on the navigation panel.
Existing non-client entities
Open Dashboard , click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Non-client Manager under Clients .
Double-click the non-client entity name in the list to open the entity's profile.
Click Document on the navigation panel.
In the Managed folder templates section, select the template you want to subscribe to for this entity.
Note : The default folder template that is set up for the entity type displays at the top of the list of templates.
If needed, create or edit custom folders set up for the entity in the Folder preview section.
Add Custom Folder Creates a new custom folder in the selected folder. Rename Custom Folder Opens the window where you can rename the selected custom folder. Delete Custom Folder Permanently removes the selected custom folder. Change Custom Folder Color Opens the Select folder color window so you can apply a color to the selected custom folder.
In the Extended folder templates section, select the template you want to subscribe this entity to.
Note : The default folder template that is set up for the entity type displays at the top of the list of templates.
If needed, create or edit custom folders set up for the entity in the Extended folder preview sections.
Add Custom Folder Creates a new custom folder in the selected folder. Rename Custom Folder Opens the window where you can rename the selected custom folder. Delete Custom Folder Permanently removes the selected custom folder. Change Custom Folder Color Opens the Select folder color window so you can apply a color to the selected custom folder.
Click OK .
