Selecting CCH Axcess Product Updates

The Updates window displays a list of available updates for Install and Update Manager. This window is the default view when updates have been detected and can also be displayed if you click the Install and Update Manager icon in the system tray.

To access the update window, do the following:

  1. Click Update on the navigation panel. The products with available updates that are licensed to the account number provided display in the grid.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Close any CCH Axcess products or Microsoft Office applications that may be running, select a product in the grid, and then click Start update to begin the update process.
    • Note: You may be prompted to restart your computer after the update process is complete.

    • Select a product in the grid and click View past updates to review the update history. See Reviewing Past Updates for more information.
    • Click Check for updates to refresh the grid with the latest available product updates.
    • Click the plus sign beside a product name in the grid to display the release number, version, and size of each available update for the product. Any errors that were encountered during the update are also displayed.
    • Note: Displayed only if there are available updates in the grid.

    • Click View in the Release Note column to open your default browser to view the release notes for a particular product update.
    • Note: Displayed only if there are available updates in the grid.

  3. Click Close to exit Install and Update Manager.
